  • Each of us visits this Earth involuntarily, and without an invitation. For me, it is enough to wonder at the secrets. Albert Einstein

  • i would disagree with albert on that… we do visit with an invitation (at least my children did) ~ jack

  • @jackisarockstar -

yeah, i’m not really sure about the whole invite or not….who really knows, right?

  • @Southland - as for myself… i definitely wasn’t invited, bastard children who were put up for adoption rarely are ~ jack

  • @jackisarockstar -

maybe you invited yourself? maybe in the word of spirit we come to earth for different reasons that we are not quite aware of? maybe i believe that in order to believe in purpose…for everyone. just my musings…

  • an interesting thought. we are, nevertheless, are visitors, and should leave the bed made in the guest room and pick up our towels from the floor.

  • definitely love the picture!

  • As one who believes in a Creator who loves each and everyone of us, I feel as if being born is an invitation in itself.    I was an OB nurse for a while too and all those babies we caught were pushed out of a warm womb into the bright lights and noise of the world.   It was a party, a birth-day party where everyone was invited to see the newest creation.

I know some babies are not welcomed by their birth mothers for one reason or another, but when the adoptive parents choose their baby, it is definitely an invitation to be a part of a family, blood or no.

And I believe their no bastards.   We are all children of the world with God as our father and Mother Earth to be our loving mother.    If all the children who are born out of wedlock were known, the actual number might be larger than the “legitimate” babies.   All babies are legitimate human beings, capable of and needing love.     We are indeed only visitors here, bound for eternity and our after life.

    Mom

  • An afterthought.    When I mentioned a mother not welcoming her baby,  I neglected to say that oft times a mother decides that she is incapable of raising a child and though she loves him and would keep him if she could, she decides to see that he has a better life without her.   It must literaly tear her heart out to do it, but because of her love, she makes the choice.

Now I will get off my soapbox or pulpit or whatever and leave ya’ll alone.    LOL

  • I agree with Albert, and I think he’d agree with me that this is a great photo!

  • I like what your mom says about being born as an invitation in itself.

It may not always be a comfortable journey, but we absolutely have a right to experience it.

    :)

  • Actually, we are much more than visitors.  We participate in Creation.  Albert was arrogant beyond belief and his arrogance had a terrible effect on his work.  In one case he divided by zero just so one of his equation would come out right.  As any 5th grader knows, division by zero is not allowed in mathematics.

In the quote, arrogant Albert is attempting to be humble.  It is NOT enough to wonder at the secrets of Creation.  Mankind is driven to discover its inner workings.  After all, Albert uncovered E=MCSquared which revolutionized physics and led to the creation of the atom bomb.  He was not content to only wonder.

  • this quote certainly made for interesting comments!
