Just out looking around xanga land. And thought to say hello. I hope you have a great weekend.
Love the quote.
Wonderful quote and picture thank you for the wonderful pictures do you take them all? Judi
Amen to that! And I love the pic.
Beautiful pic and great quote. I looked up Ms Atwood. She has written several books and is said to be a great story teller. Hmmm. I may look into that at the library.
Havin’ a nice St. Paddy’s Day?
Mom

Perfect timing with this post, M! Perfect timing!

I wonder if their 52 words for snow already fit the way of love.
lovely quote and love Atwood, at first it looked like lichen but it is last years greenery isn’t it?
I am in full agreement with Ms. Atwood…always felt that way…we are so quick to dismiss what is always so important to us…beautiful image, by the way…an sweet reminder that winter WILL end soon and take with it the snow. I hope! ~ Jeanne
Ditto to what everyone else has said, never heard that before.
Well, that certainly does put a lot of things in perspective, doesn’t it?
Yes, there should.

Beautiful lichen. The cup/disc-shaped things are the fruiting bodies (reproductive structures) of the fungus part of the lichen. How true Margaret Atwood’s statement is.
