although the picture makes you stare, it was the quote that made me quiet. so much to say and feel in such a phrase.. memory can do so many things to people, past feelings resurfacing. wounds, joys, resentments, dreams…

I love terra cotta and adobe. So EARTHY. And when you stand bright colors next to it, it becomes almost electric.

Is that a tree growing out of the side of a building? Wow. Spain? How nice this time of year. Do you do this photo thing professionally?
It’s weird how Madrid has managed to maintain it’s ghost town image while still pulling in some amazing people to live there. I don’t think I’ve seen the tree through the wall before, but then it’s been at least ten years since I passed through there.

I’ve never been to Madrid, NM. I’ll have to put it on my list of places to check out. That picture is awesome. I love the word unhappen..
I love New Mexico! So beautiful. I hadn’t read that that was where the picture was until after I already identified it. (I lived in Albuquerque for several years, but traveled throughout New Mexico quite often.) Enjoy your trip!
