I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. Isaac Newton

i love this picture. it’s so simple with a pretty, lone rock in the corner.
(sigh) wonderful!
One rock on the sand, but are those clouds behind and all the way to the top of the photo? It surely is striking and the quote is beautiful. I think all the rocks and shell I find on the shore beautiful, even the broken shells and ordinary looking rocks.
you do have such a wonderful eye for photos molly, and i
just love that you mother picked up on the clouds reflecting..
it’s beautiful. And the quote is a perfect match, as always.

this is so dreamlike. made me sigh…
my skulls pic is part of a larger multimedia thing I have been working on for almost a year now. If I ever finish it, I’ll send you the link.
Before I read the caption I was wondering who lost their hamburger bun at the beach.
thanks so much for sharing your comment and stopping by, it meant a great deal to me.
I love this photo and the feeling i have when i gaze at it is peaceful, solidness against a flowing, changing ocean of life… much like the reflections I wrote about actually…
isn’t that ironic? no coincidences, I think it was meant to be a gift from creative spirits and “eyes” connecting for a moment.
thank you

i’m really not sure if it’s a cloud reflection or just silty sand while the tide is going out…this photo is strange to me and i took so many that day i can’t remember. imagine me, walking around snapping away, barely looking up, taking my sunglasses off and on, almost getting dizzy
i love this photo…a rock in the clouds? im sure it is silt and sand, but then maybe it isn’t and you were transported to a far away planet in the wink of an eye and dropped back gently to earth without even noticing
