I like this photo and the simplicity of it; It’s something that would catch my eye, this contrast.

Now that is major wood
It makes me think back to the huge trees along State Route 82 through San Mateo Which I think is part of the El Camino Real
the color of the trees are so different..

Agreed with the above – the contrast in the colour of the bark with the similarity of texture is lovely. And what fantastic bark it is! All those smooth trees are probably very envious. x.g.

Yes, “Into The Wild” is a great film. Amazing young man, accomplished more in the last few years of his life than in the entirety of my own. Sean Penn has a way of wrenching your soul with his films.
