I always thought that sounded like such a painful name. But lovely… both together.
Another good one. And Ram Dass – excellent choice. I just watched a video interview with him called Fierce Grace on the Spiritual Cinema circle CD…it was so inspiring.
Jacaranda I am not familiar with that particular plant. I really had to study this pic, as I was looking for the stems and leaves, not realizing it was fallen blossoms and not the whole plant. Duh. The contrast of the old steps and the vividness of the little flowers is very nice.
I firmly believe the quote. We can’t keep stopping the journey waiting for only positive things to happen to us.
Take the bitter with the sweet.

Just reading the story of this plant from the link you put here. I think I might make it a point to walk under the tree a lot, so that I might have good fortune. A pretty legend.

over here we call them ‘exam trees’ because they bloom in november when all the uni students are sitting for final year examinations beautiful pic.
yup, expectations only end up in hurt, i think. love the quote!
Almost looks like the blossoms posed for you. Must have seen you coming with your camera.

It’s funny how you assume the picture is taken vertically. Interesting composition. The trees must be really beautiful. Guess we couldn’t grow them in our climate. I love the quote, generally my philosophy of life.
I absolutely LOVE this photo. I did a double take when I saw it and have come back to visit it a couple of time today. Thank you! ..kytti..
Ah, Jacaronda blossoms! I really miss that tree. No Jacaronda trees in Denver. Great shot, the vibrant blooms against the weathered wood is fantastic!

That’s really an interesting picture. So simple, and so colorful. I’m not familiar with the jacaranda.
Excellent color scheme.
