See how nature – trees, grass, grow in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…We need silence to be able to touch souls. Mother Teresa
So what you’re saying is I should shut up? :p :spinning: :fun::wave:
To parrot what my boss just said when she caught a glimpse of this over my shoulder…that should be on a card…beautiful, BEAUTIFUL shot.
Silence is power.
Looks like a wonderful place to take a walk and soak up some of that quiet time.
So beautiful….
I like that.
in silence, our deepest dreams reveal themselves. (i forget who said that) gorgeous photo! thanks, april
How beautiful and peaceful!
just stunning. as always. :heartbeat:  :heartbeat:

Actually, I cannot imagine you living anywhere outside of nature. You have such a beautiful, nature-oriented heart it seems, and you seem to have that connection. But it is that connection that is beautiful, the kind that is present no matter where you are. You will always touch nature, just as you do in your photography. ~jessica
I like the color in the trees against the green of the plants around it.
very tranquil…the quote goes marvelously
I don’t know about silence…I hear celestial music, harmonic tones…music of the universe…but then I have always gone to the music of a different drummer!
Nice image. I haven’t been to Montreal since I was a little girl. I am really curious to see it again.
I really like the colours and composition of this photo.
:sunny:
I believe I’d like a stroll down that very walk…
wonderful shot… and to follow everyone elses lead:
it does indeed look peaceful…

Yes, I know your feelings. I’m praying that everything settles and follows through (here I go wishing again!) as it seems it is, and that I’ll be in our little cabin in the mountains, the mountains I’ve visited and hiked and been in since childhood. But you capture things and offer hope, offer inspiration. That is as close as you can come, and you offer it to others. How important. ~jessica
Beautiful!
I have wanted to go there for a long time…
thanks for the great complements on my wedding pictures.
I got some advice from matt (icrashonmyface, see comments for my recent Molly pic). This is the first time I’ve done a wedding, and our first son to get married by the way.
Yes I live in southern california but I don’t think I’ll be doing weddings, thank you. I’ve got a lot to learn and I need to get a good camera. I had to use a borrowed one for this wedding.

Yes! Why I could never live in a big city. It’s hard enough to live in a suburb. I adore being alone with nature. There’s an intense comfort in that kind of silence.
Happy Birthday fellow Gemini….
I hope you have a wonderful day.

A lesson in composition of the photo – thanks
This is beautiful.
finally I hear from you.

I actually had a great time photographing our son’s wedding, but I don’t think I’ll do it again for any of our other children or close relatives. When your busy thinking about getting all the shots you don’t have time to enjoy the family and to talk and visit. I would like to do some more but not as the primary photographer. Let someone else get all the required portraits, I think I’d rather mingle and go for the candid and more artistic/abstract side of it.
Hey, if your friend wants you to take pictures for her, it seems like a good opportunity to give it a try, rather than for a stranger.
It seems that if you do something well and someone wants you to work for them then you can let yourself evolve into it, you know what I mean. If you just decide to “go into business” then you have to push yourself and people expect certain things that they shouldn’t and it puts pressure on you that takes the pleasure out of it.

What a lovely photo of the trees. I haven’t been to Montreal for a while (especially in the heat of this summer). Living near the St. Lawrence and not really that far from the open countryside gives me lots of opportunities to take photos. I’ve been under the weather this summer and haven’t gotten out much though. (A friend of Ava’s)
I forgot to ask last time I was here. Is that the aspirin tree where they get St. Joseph’s?
