Reminds me of the old time ice box I used to see in my grandparent’s kitchen. There was a big tray toward the bottom where the big block of ice sat to cool the things we put in it. Same sort of catch on the door.
I really don’t understand the quote. Some walls shut us out by not having any doors, or if there is one, sometimes it is locked from the inside.

I want latches like that on ALL of my doors. I love it!
Both sides don’t always recognize that implication, but it’s one of the more beautiful truths of the soul, don’t you think?

ah,, the latch reminds me of
the old doors on one of the very first
campers my parents owned, as does the
wood its screwed to.
It’s wonderful how an image can bring back
such wonderful memories.
thanks,, *~matthew~*
I don’t want to talk about walls or doors today.
Great quote. Yes, walls don’t have to be walls. If the wall’s in your way and you don’t want it to be, or it’s blocking you and you can’t think around it, you can cut a door in it, get beyond it…. Cool.
Mmmm.
 you crack me up with your comments molly!

I love photographs like that, of things that are so simple but can be made to be so beautiful.

and behind every door is opportunity…
I love your site…the pictures are always so beautiful. I don’t think every wall is a door, but for every wall there is a door…if that made sense. :p Have an awesome day!
