  • taken while on another walk around the neighborhood. (click to enlarge)

Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence and nothing too much. Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • you have such an eye for a good photo…
hmmm reminds me of my missed early morning walks with my twin sister…walking for a while saying nothing..just swinging hands together…
    I *sigh*

  • ralph was a wise man, wasn’t he.

sweet shot.  looks like a painting.  right place, right time and great eye.  perfect combination.

  • i’m trying to figure out what’s behind the cat.
    [besides the other cat]
looks kind of like an old trunk.

  • I love taking a walk – usually during the day its on a very crowded street, but it’s easily tuned out – to silence… which is very nice in a busy world.

  • life trapped behind the lens, behind the windowpane…

  • Prize-winning. This one took my breath away.

  • Merry Saturday.

  • Doesn’t it make you want to knock on the door and ask about the cats?   Like their names and how many there are in there?

    Lovely shot.

  • That’s me in my next life.

You must have a camera, too.

  • i love the subject, the cat

but there is so much more,, i love that old trunk

placed in the window…the green & the floweres..

all support it pleasantly… really makes one curious…

the quote is perfect too.. i love to just get up and wander.

ryc: there were people in the building, I’m unsure if they lived there or kept shop…it was very interesting..  I loved the place,, I’m sure I’ll have to venture back…

  • I have been crying all morning but this made me smile. Thank you.

  • that image reminds me of a song… our house is a very very very fine house,
with two cats in the yard… life used to be so hard… now everything is easy ’cause of
    you. Who sang that song???

  • So many eye appealing objects in the shot.

  • Even in curiosity there is grace…magnificence…patience

  • i’d give my left arm for your photographic eye.  why left you ask, well because i’m left handed… and it means more to me than my right ~ ~ jack

I just love your photos and look forward to seeing new ones all the time.

  • Had to come and subscribe to your artistic side.

  • Did you recognize the house in the photo?

Two years ago, when you were moving, I posted a different photo of that house and called it the Molly house. I went to an Earth Day event recently and drove by. On the way back, I stopped to take new photos. I wish that I could have gotten closer.

  • I love your pictures that are wonderful . Love the kitty

  • Of all the Emerson I’ve read I’ve never read that till now.

  • How nice of the elegant cat to pose! The angle with the window and flowers is just great. What an eye you have!
