You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em. Kenny Rogers
Know when to walk away, know when to run. And, you’d better count your money …
Thanks a lot, blueyoohoo. This’ll be the brain-soundtrack of the day.
cool quote… it’s true. I suck at poker.
raise, raise, fold… darn.

Well, that looks like a sucky hand. Of course it depends on what the hold cards are.
oh, yeah :spinning:
Yes – I’ve been thinking a lot this week about the hand I’ve been dealt, wondering if I can trade in a couple …
I hope you had the Ace of Hearts!
:heartbeat:,
This made me think of Kenny Rogers, but blueyoohoo beat me to it.
YUP. What’s the use of stewing over a bad hand. You gotta play the hand you’re dealt.
amen to that. Great photo, as usual.
I love the rich tones of the wood table and the way the light reflects or radiates differently from table, from the cards, the pennies etc…
I find the photo very relaxing and just perfect for a Friday night/end of the week HURRAH mood !
Great shot, as usual.
I love close-in shots that suggest a scene through the details.

Mmmm, sushi. Yum. I never tire of sushi. I had some inari last night, tofu skins stuffed with sweet sushi rice. Yum. My former Chinese roommate in Boston used to make them from scratch. Delicious.
perfect union: prose and picture.
I’ve come to expect nothing less… :sunny:

Quick fingers…
:spinning: I thought I was holding a winning hand (a full house) and then I just watched the cards change before my eyes….still grieving over it…
I *smile*
Deal me in, Kiddo! I’d love to be in on your Friday night games just once.
Love the photo but the quote is sort of deep for penny ante poker, isn’t it? Just kidding. Most of us are only playing with pennies in real life, aren’t we? We just pray for decent cards.
Momma:laugh:
You got to know when to hold ‘em, you got to know when to fold ‘em…

Allow me to be redundant in saying that, your photographs are wonderful, as are the quotes which you put with them. Simply lovely.,
Take care,
D.
I use to have that quote on my profile. I love it, its holds so true.
You find the most inspiring quotes. Impeccable taste. Great photos.
Oh most definitely, I really love your photography… your page is just very positive to visit. And I admire your talent very much. I do some photography of my own, more or less for release… it is a very peaceful outlet as is my writing, at least with the writing, when my muses are off deliberating somewhere, I can pick up the camera.
The photographs which you posted on December 8th and 13th… wow… they are simply amazing.
Anyhow, thank you for stopping by… I went protected for my tolerance wore through with the little kids who come by displaying nothing but ignorance… far to many… however, I will surely add you to the list.
Take care…

A pair of tens with a king high. That should win the pot with a good bluff or two, Cheers
Oh, what a great quote! And lovely accompanying photograph.
Er…and having a supply of pennies to make you look cool, while you’re at it!
