  • Just the other day, I was looking at some shots on Flickr that were taken from an airplane. I thought, “surely there must be better plane photos”.

    I was right.

  • ooooo…I like that.   The quote and the picture.

  • wow. the ripples in the clouds reminded me of a brain.

  • don’t you just want to lie down on them?
    gah.
    that’s just so beautiful.
and i hate to fly.  heights and small spaces.  meh.
i’m usually too doped up to appreciate the beauty.
but really…it’s better for everyone that i am.

i’m glad there are people like you who can keep their eyes open
and can compose a shot like this.

    thanks.

  • There’s nothing like it, huh?
I would fly every day, if I could.

  • I want to bounce in it, just plop down on it like a bed.

  • i hate flying… i avoid it as much as possible…

  • That’s the best plane photo I’ve seen in a long time.
Your site makes me want to travel again soon.

  • I remember when your grandma flew to LV for a vacation with B-Ann.   She told me she felt so close to heaven.    That the plane flew above the clouds just mystified her.    I feel somewhat the same way.    I haven’t flown in a while, but I do love it.    I think if I could fly someplace about once a week, it would be a long time before I tired of it.

What did you do to the color?    Was it really this blue?

And I agree with Mr. Cohen.

  • …just don’t test mine!  :p

    :heartbeat:,

  • indeed.  my JJ is up there right now, flying to California.

  • When I saw this photo, I immediately thought of Louis Armstrong singing, “What a wonderful world.” The image is so buoyant and light and dreamy.

ryc: It still creeps me out, but I can laugh nervously at the encounter. I’ve met people who are bi, but have never been approached by someone before much less asked to “play” in a threesome. I just couldn’t do such things on a whim no matter how much I enjoy pleasure. The eww factor afterwards makes the idea unappealing. Intimacy and knowing the person you’re with counts for a lot.

  • I could stare at this picture for hours and get lost in it at the same time. :goodjob:

  • breathtaking

  • This picture is so pretty - it’s nice being above the clouds, looking down.

  • visit my site and take my personality test… learn out who you are and what is important to you…fun times

  • I like the way you pair your photos with quotes.

    :sunny:

  • Wow, this is beautiful, and that quote is its perfect mate.

  • The clouds are beautiful, but I don’t fly anymore.  I get deathly ill, even with medication.  I’ll just have to see the clouds from below, or from your pictures.:goodjob:

  • That looks great! I have a few plane photos myself but they are tough to get perfect. I’m impressed.

  • heavenly. and the pic is nice too!

    LOL…just kidding, it’s wonderful.

  • I love to fly. And I LOVE to look out the window the whole time. The perspective is so bizarre, so above and beyond (pun!) our ordinary view. A birds-eye view of clouds, mountains, cities is well worth the price of a ticket if you can get a window seat. Reminds me of Earth from Above by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

  • endless possibilities….that was my first thought…..

  • Despite being all in the mind, some of them still seem so insuperable.  (wait… is that an English word?  Oh… {whew!} yeah it is)

  • Yes, I enjoy rolling around in those fond childhood memories once in a while. I had forgotten about the stars through the car window until it came to me out of nowhere. That’s usually a sign to reexamine it further.

    G’night.

  • You obviously took this from a plane. :goodjob:

  • :goodjob: …lovely photo, Molly! Reminds me of Georgia O’Keeffe paintings. Did you happen to think of her? God bless, MuSe

  • :goodjob:
    such truths!

  • hiya M!  long time no see.  i love this photo & the quote. :)

  • What a shot!! . . . and how did I miss the last one of the door. cool

  • Great photo… and the door before this one… beautiful. :goodjob:

  • nice quote and picture

  • I have an aunt and uncle that live in Galt near Lodi and Stockton, just south of Sacramento. I love that part of the state where it’s close to mid-sized urban cities and agricultural/rural areas at the same time. The suburbs are a bit bland, but that’s everywhere. If you drive a few blocks from their house you can smell the manure from the horse pastures nearby which is always a jolt. The back country drives through citrus groves and grain fields are grand. They have close access to the coast and mountains, lakes and deserts within a few hours drive.

I like the vibrancy of multicultural cities and also enjoy the simplicity of being in natural surroundings. Whenever too many people are around, life is never simple.

  • I love sky and cloud pics. Just looking at them make me feel soooo at peace. Very pretty picture.

  • Cheers!

And in my giddiness, I must say that you’re truly an splendid person. Just know it for what little I know.

And if I could send a peck on the cheek across half the country, you’d be feeling it right about……now.

Did I mention that beer = good?

  • Dear Molly,

I also very much love cloudscapes, and yours always seem to be Angel’s views of these wonders.
