These trees are proof that the Earth is crooked.
I lurvvvv this, the tones, the fog, the bends. Thank you.
Gosh that is eery. Eery but in a deep, inviting way.
They are lovely.. perfect actually.
BTW, my kid said “oohh.. thats a pretty picture.” She has good taste too.
I’ve always suspected that trees dance in the fog, now we have proof.
those are great trees!
holy crap, that’s amzing, where is that??
I’m guessing you took some trees to the circus and put them in front of one of those funky body shape-changing mirrors to get this.
how beautiful
most excellente…so weird it almost looks manipulated.
That is amazing. I would have been beside myself if I came upon a site like that with my camera.
Molly, those are wonderful. How exciting it must have been to find them…and shoot, shoot, shoot. Wonderful fog and lighting is so perfect.

it is beautiful… the imperfection in itself allows us to appreciate perfection..

Wow! This is amazing!!! The lighting is perfect, and so is the quote. I too believe in the beauty of our imperfection. :goodjob:
Alice Walker, she wrote The Color Purple?
A home to trolls, hobbits and others of that ilk I guess. A nest for my imgination to construct stories of weird.

Breathtaking!! I showed this one to my son. TELL me you shot it on something that you can enlarge…. OK, I’ll take an 8 x 10, then. Let me know….
gravity went wild trees danced a backbent limbo to a reggae beat until they resembled alphabet letters to a language ancient and unspoken raising limbs airborne to a perpetual celestial disco hazing and raving in morning mist
proof that even trees feel.
I love how you abstractly incorporate your quotes into your pictures.. wonderful.
Well hi there! Thanks for breezing by my site. Your site is so refreshing. This is a cool place to hang out. Your photo’s are striking. WOW!
So I see you like wine? Me too. A couple of entries back I mentioned one of my favorite wines. Come on over and tell me some of your faves.
Nice to meet you.
Scary and beautiful at the same time. It’s my desktop right now. Mom :heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:
That picture is breathtaking
The haunts of my dreams in reality? I must go here.
Have you ever read Alice Walker’s piece, “On Stripping Bark from Myself”? She uses trees as a metaphor quite frequently. Ironically, a few months ago, I had posted it on my xanga with a black & white pic of a tree much like the one you have here. I didn’t take it myself. I just remembered that. Actually I stopped by to tell you that I just got a digital cam for my birthday and sites like yours and others have me very excited about learning to use this medium to express myself. So, thanks for the inspiration and motivation. :sunny:
amazing pictures!
Wow! Stunning! Black and white is my favorite
Well little miss nostalgia, maybe you should come over here with your christmas spirit and we can drink and dance and get my place all fixed up.

fantastic array of trees. wonderful black and white conversion.
are they fighting? “the war of the trees”
In the area where I live, there are very old trees with extreme bends in them like these. They have thick trunks and are very tall and are a couple of hundred years old. Someone in the know told me that Native Americans would bend young saplings to navigate the woods by pointing the bends in the directions they needed to move. So, whenever I see trees that bend, I think of that. They are very mysterious and beautiful.
:goodjob: quote :goodjob: picture
That reminds me of a grove near my horses’ paddock.. it was like fairyland in there. This is a stunning shot
