this picture, as well as the two below were shot in the vacant kitchen of a hotel in downtown here in Long Beach while i was on Soundwalk 2004, a walking sound installation exhibit.
You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you’re working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success – but only if you persist. Isaac Asimov

This is so profound and such an inspiration! May I print this entry out to keep me mindful in the dark hours? Thank you…
nothing but eat its head off in a drawer? Well, I never thought of it quite that way.
Some drawers are missing… somebody got creative and sent the drawer in along with the manuscript! :p
looks scary
well said!!
I like that.
i like that grainy effect. soundwalk 2004? that sounds interesting.
I love that photo.
Love it! :goodjob:
Molly, Let me know how it goes after you show your receptionist.
nice to meet you too.
i do have a tendency to ramble in my journal. sometimes it’s just to let it all out. but i may have to research zen a bit more. i had to read zen and the art of motorcycle repair or something to that effect for one of my classes last year, but i ended up dropping that class to take a different one.
anyhow, thanks for stopping by my little area of the internet.

Good advice. I grew up on Asimov. Thanks for the quote.
I am so glad you are keeping me thinking. My mind is turning to mush but I am keeping mine on the lighter side so I don’t go totally over the edge!
