When Alexander the Great visited Diogenes and asked whether he could do anything for the famed teacher, Diogenes replied: ‘Only stand out of my light.’ Perhaps some day we shall know how to heighten creativity. Until then, one of the best things we can do for creative men and women is to stand out of their light. John W. Gardner

“big trees rule”
Great pic and I love the quote. I’m much more a “Lead, follow or get out of the way” gal myself.
:sunny: I love this photo!!! It makes me want to go climb a tree.
there’s something kind of………………….um, how can i say it………………….sensual about that shot.
Seriously, I love that picture. I want it. Also, how do you decide on what quotes to post alongside certain shots? Tell me.
What is your secret?

If I squint… the tree trunk looks like an elephant trunk. So I feel like an elephant looking down my nose at… uh… well, palm fronds (can’t make the palm fronds into something else by squinting…)
It is definitely time for me to leave the office.
I guess baseball just got worse over the years
it’s entertaining just as long as you’re not the drunk guy in the back.
I love the perspective of this picture. amazing!
that’s majestic
So, the tree stood in your creative way and you got right to the bottom of it and took a pic. looking up. It’s good to keep looking up. Gardner was one of my favorite writers. . . . need to get back to him. Cheers.
thanks for stopping by; it’s nice to see locals in here
I keep seeing a pineapple.
:coolman:
Your “hm…” comment made me arch my eyebrows… did you not approve of the post? or were you just thinking?
I cannot remember water that is not very cold… beautiful pictures.
great angle…
What an unusual angle. I know, you gave your camera to a squirrel & let him take a picture. Wait, since it’s a palm tree, perhaps it was a monkey instead?
i took a picture sort of like this one not to long ago except the trees were burnt pines and not palm. youve inspired me to post it. i hope you go look at it..
beautiful picture:goodjob:
