Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that’s been our unifying cry, “More light.” Sunlight. Torchlight. Candlight. Neon, incandescent lights that banish the darkness from our caves to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators. Big floods for the night games at Soldier’s field. Little tiny flashlights for those books we read under the covers when we’re supposed to be asleep. Light is more than watts and footcandles. Light is metaphor. I’m either going to presume you use photshop extensively or that you have a hella ‘spensive camera that does cool stuff in the dark. I’m not sure which one I’m going to presume. I just am, so I feel better.

I like that photo. I’m curious about the sepia tone of some of your photographs. Do you take B/W and give them a sepia tone with chemicals or do you use an editing program to give the sepia tone to the digital image? You always have such great pictures :heartbeat:

I just had to say a little thank you out loud. Light is Light. I guess I should be thankful for everything it illuminates.
You know I’m a crazy kitty person. My cat only wishes I could take photos like that. I just had the biggest smile looking at that little face.

I worked a job once where reading a scale divided into hundreths of an inch. I could easily read it. Then, I had to move into the best light to read it, later I had to be in direct sunlight before I could. Then, it turned into a gray blur.

For this aged person the wish is always for more light I think, except when I look into the mirror.

Really like this photo & not just because it has a cat in it. It’s cheerful, old-fashioned, symbolic, inviting. Causes a pleasant feeling inside.
