  • :coolman:

The stone is often a good loser though

  •  Here I thought it would be a photo of a stream running around a rock. It’s great that you provided the unexpected.

  • Great profile pic.

Beautiful stone.  I love all the holes.

  • OOOoooOOOooh.  I like photos that make me think, wonder, closely inspect.

Regarding the quote, it reminds me of the river.  Every spot that we stop at has different qualities than every other.  When we go to the VFW park on the river, we find stones with holes straight through them.  The mark of water and time … Paige told me something significant about that.  I forget what it is now.

Ah, I shall ask her:  She says that it’s supposed to be good luck because they are hard to find.  I hope she’s not pulling my leg again.

  • something my supervisor told me once:

rock is actually a very, very slow moving liquid…

  • okay, I need to have breakfast… because I looked at that and saw a big, fat cookie…   LOL

  • such an odd (submerged) rock.  a stippled stone.  lovely.

  • I saw a wasp and a spider struggling once – neither won :(

  • It was a curious thing to see tho!

  • Wow, you have some beautifu work!  I missed your reception, but won’t be missing the gallery show…you’re right in my part of town~  :spinning: I will be calling the gallery later to see how late they’re open at night…I think tomorrow, after work.  THank you for coming by my site!

  • I agree with Tape2.   I saw a cookie.    Mmmm.  But I do like the quote and photo together.   As hard as the rock seems to be, even a gentle dripping will eventually wear it away.   Mom

  • :sunny:Sending ya a cheery hello >>>>>so sorry I have not been around! I am getting my life back on track! Hope all is well in your world….:)

  • There is a nut that looks similiar to that. Always in Christmas stockings, I never ate it, I ate mainly walnuts.:spinning:

  • Near where I live is a place called Natural Bridge. It is a tourist attraction and water did win there, for sure. Geo. Washington was there doing a series of measurements way back when…it is a natural wonder for sure…

  • I’m thinking the Chinese will too.

  • But not if you rescue the rock and keep it for a paperweight…

That one is definitely from Mars…nice

  • those damn chinese people are smart aren’t they…

  • WOOHOO!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Molly!!! :spinning:
