i’ve never seen the filming of a movie before… it would be interesting to see the process.
anytime i see samuel l jackson i have flash backs of him in pulp fiction. I will always see him as Jules.
They filmed large portions of the Matrix sequels in Alameda while I was living there. A co-worker of mine saw Lawrence Fishbourne (sp?) one day, but that was the closest brush with fame we got.
Alameda (if you don’t know) is an island, and the main way to get to it from downtown Oakland is by ‘tubes’ which go under the estuary. The movie actually shut those things down for 5 days (which of course were all weekdays). Commuters were absolutely livid.
Oh… and they filmed October Sky here (but at the time it was called ROcket Boys) in Knoxville, Oak Ridge, and the surrounding areas. My ex-girlfriend (torch_32) has a small cameo in it, and I know a few people who were extras.
When they go to the national science fair, the building they are at is the Historic Tennessee Theater which is currently going through major renovations. It was a great place to film, because downtown Knoxville has changed *very* little since the 1940s.
So… you gonna turn into a paparatzi?
Well isn’t that cool. I love the Hawaiian blue box there in the middle of all that.
Molly, thanks for saying howdy do. What’s even more funny than finding another Molly from Texas is that neither of us live there anymore, and at one time, I was out in California– crazy, crazy world. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!:sunny:
nice… be like a paparazzi… did I even spell that right? I hope so… anyways… bâ-them… its part of their job to have their privacy ignored
haha. that’d be cool, and sell pics to Star magazine.

oooooooooooo luck you! wink
Like the photo of the cats paws and it is nice to find another grown up on here.
I’ve never been on a real movie set before, only visited the studio ones. It must be exciting or interesting to say the least.

Looks like a lot of stars.
That’s cool! You need to worm your way in as an extra.
“Sure…I’ll be that snooty socialite walking the ugly poodle in the background!”
Damn, Molly. I can’t believe that I didn’t comment on these right away. The photos are just so cool. Yeah, you are too.
I’m with freekycheek, and wondering who gets that Hawaiian blue box.
The Hawaiian box looks like a painted port o potty.. well the size and shape anyway.
