  • In contrast to my last entry of a spectacular sunset, this is how is looked yesterday from my back porch. Eleven fires are burning in Southern California…we are safe here in Long Beach, but so many are suffering and we are all feeling the impact as ash covers our sidewalks and cars, and the air is thick and smells of smoke. I pray for rain.

  • At least the winds have died down some.

  • very nice pictures

  • YES…rain would seriously be a blessing right about now…

  • Florida’s thoughts are with you guys on the West Coast.

  • These fires are horrific. My heart is with all involved.

  • Wish we could send them some.

  • Ya’ll take care.    That sky is a menacing site.   Like Armageddon.

  • It’s always interesting to me how something as terrible as fire can cause such beautiful visual effects.. I am glad you are safe. I cannot imagine the horror of those who are not.

  • I haven’t tracked the fires closely, but you can’t help but hear about it.  The ash fall sounds much like what they experience in Ecuador when one of the volcanoes erupt…  I can’t even imagine all the breathing / allergy difficulties people must be having.  They burn leaves here during the month of October and it’s one long headache for me.  Stay safe!

  • We have four days of forecasted rain (and snow) here.  I wish I could send it back your way.

  • we’re in the same boat then. the sky looked like that on sunday but down here in la jolla it has gotten slightly better. the air still smells of smoke though.

  • gaaah… fires!!!!! *scaredscaredscared*

*whimpers* the san bernardino fire’s a couple of miles from my house and i can’t breathe for the ash… *sigh* and everyone still keeps saying socal weather’s the best… pfft.

  • <LABEL id=HbSession SessionId=”3569344620″>i pray for rain too for you and for them.. i pray that nobody lost anything or anyone… i pray..
