At the bottom no one in life can help anyone else in life; this one experiences over and over in every conflict and every perplexity: that one is alone. That isn’t as bad as it may first appear; and again it is the best thing in life that each should have everything in himself; his fate, his future, his whole expanse and world. Rainer Maria Rilke

I disagree.
My life has proven otherwise. Over and over. I am seeing that now. Clearly.

The Cali coast…it is so beautiful. I think I missed saying something on the blog you wrote about your exposures and exhibits but I know I have told you before…I just HAVE to do it again, I’m so thrilled for you! And I can’t wait.
Beautiful as always. That quote would work so well to explain some things in my novel. Hmmm….
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that you’re in it alone when it comes down to it.
i LOVE Rainer Maria Rilke. And I completely agree: we really are alone. It bothered me so much at first but who knows? Maybe it’s a good thing. OR at least, it’s just a fact.
Yea, being alone doesn’t always mean loneliness.
wow…didn’t realize how clear the waters of cabrillo beach are! thank you for the nice image
I am beginning to teach problem solving in my class. One of the key elements of successful problem solving is the realization that the only problems you can solve are your own, and, conversely, each person must solve his/her own problems.
