  • To know someone with whom you can feel there is understanding in spite of distances or
thoughts unexpressed … that can make this life a garden.
    Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

  • I love your pictures.  You are a true artist.

  • I have felt this feeling many times…

  • This is so true!  I have about 4 really close friends that I do not see often because they live in other states, but the friendship never fades or dies and when we get together, it is as if we have never been apart.  They are real treasures!

  • That quote is so perfect.  Friends that last forever despite the distance or lack of communication – picking up where you left off without skipping even a beat…

  • i shouldnt say this aloud……but……
that looks like a suicide thing.
    hmmmm.

  • whoa… nice! perfect timing on the shot and the quote is just lovely… makes me skip and smile.

  • ‘love Goethe

btw whose feet are those ?

  • i’ve lived my life with major harvests in that garden…and it’s not been purposeful, or conscious…but looking back i realize i do it…i move on…leave those behind, and if they don’t consider me a part of their garden and take the effort to check on the crop, they’ll find i uprooted and took off…

i’m not proud of this, and i think i need to change it…i just need to figure out what i’m running from…

  • Losing touch with friends and family is a real shame, but since we keep changing as do others, it’s inevitable I suppose.     I am guilty of letting things slide, especially during a down period.

I’m going through one of those periods now.   I procrastinate.    I waste time.    I sit and stare.   I sleep.    No reason, except laziness.   So I’ll get what I deserve.   Broken friendships and alienation.

Very moving photo and quote.   Maybe it will be my inspiration.

  • Thank you dear Southland for this awesome photo…it made me think of the feet of Buddha. It feels like an invitation to wash them with our long hair…

The text reminds me of people I’ve met on the net, actually. Beautiful people like you and many others…

You have such a gift to catch the right picture with the right phrase… Coming to your site is always a celebration!
