  • After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. Aldous Huxley

  • Your guitar?  Silence is my favorite sound, or lack thereof, but music is a close second …

  •  :) Double eprops for including a guitar, music and Aldous Huxley in one short blog.

  • Love it!  I love pieces of things… when I win the lottery, I’ll be buying a macro lens

(and you just reminded me… need to research guitar classes for my son… LOL)

  • aldous huxley never heard any of MY music!

  • This photo is so stylish, and so powerful is the quote.

It’s a great pleasure knowing you too, Molly. I think there is a lot more about you that are not directly shown on your pages here, but from your comments on other people’s and my blogs I can feel that you are a very wise and warm person.

  • *groan*
That reminds me I’ve been neglecting my practice of classic guitar. I know she’s weeping quietly in her case. I’m a cad. After yoga class today.

  • Wow. What a great picture.  You are selling these aren’t you?  What a true statement that quote is too.  Quiet and music…opposite sides of the same coin.

  • Oh, that’s beautiful.

I couldn’t tell what it was at first…sometimes a “confusing” image–you know, one that makes you question what you’re even seeing–can express the unexpressible, too.

  • Really really nice, Molly.  I also bought a navajo flute in AZ, and a CD of R. Carlos Nakai, for inspiration.  I got one of his CDs about 5 or 6 years ago, and was blown away by the mystical sound of his playing.  I can probably never come close, but I can try!!

I have 2 guitars (one a 12 string), a dulcimer, an Irish flute and a recorder as well.  How often do I play them?  Don’t ask.  I’m ashamed to say.

Thank you for reminding me that the lavender rose is called a Sterling rose!  I forgot that I knew that!  My dad was an avid gardener, but he passed away when I was 19, so I am not as sharp with the names as I was back then!

  • Great shot, great angle!

  • Elegant perspective and composition in the photo.  It’s striking….

  • Wonderfully tied together

  • This is beautiful.

And Molly? I really do hope you find something for every month I publish. I love your work.

  • random epropz! hit me back if u wanna =D

  • Sometimes I see a photo that makes me pause and just contemplate quietly…that happens often around here.

What sort of editing software do you recommend?  I’ll never get this sort of artistry or eye for the frame, but I can try!

  • I love that quote… and I know some people who will love that guitar picture!!!

  • great shot.

be cool if you could get your reflection in it.

it’s lovely the way it is though!

  • Ah, the infamous silent guitar

  • Just too wonderful.  Love the Huxley.

  • Silence is golden.

  • Vrai et magnifique !
    I know it’s french …

  • I’ve taken that exact photo…its somewhere on this hard drive but I couldn’t find it. honest!:) On the road eh? damn! I’m jealous. Looking forward to the pics too.

  • Great angle & close-up! You always have such great, thought-provoking photos. I look forward to visiting every day to see what’s up next.

  • …very well expressed! Nothing like music to erase timelines and instantly take us to memories. MuSe
