That is a beautiful piece of art. Is it hanging on your own wall? I’ve been trying to practice much of what that quote says … to not resist life, awareness, mindfulness, to just be … that path to enlightenment and zen.
Lovely picture. I really like the way you use quotes from SO many different sources- such an eclectic mix. Great work!
what a cool cross!!!!! is it yours???
I agree with the first word of the quote.
:ee:
Everything is beautiful about this post. The image, the quote, the thought about the power of the milagros.
I visited a chapel in Puerto Rico where the walls were covered with them. The altar had a solid silver front, made from the melted down milagro images they had taken down for years. And the center of the altar was made from gold milagros.
Absolutely beautiful.
the metal/cross combo is way cool.
Isn’t it interesting how the most powerful ideas for living are so simple? Yet, at the same time, they are the most difficult to apply. So we imagine because we can grasp the simple idea we have learned how to apply it. Like reading a book about flying a 747 and imagining we can do it. Is it any wonder there is such need for forgiveness in our world?
i ain’t a fan of crucifixes, generally speaking, but that makes a spectacular photograph….
and the quote is right on the money!
How appropriate for today.
This isn’t a crucifix, but a cross.

Great photo! Are those all little silver animals on it? is it magnetic?
Cool cross! Where did you potograph it?
I saw Eckhart Tolle at the Inner Directions conference last month. He is incredible.

MuSe
Of course

But where to find forgiveness.
I saw these in Phoenix, Molly! They are called Milagro Crosses–the little silver medals symbolize miracles. My mamacita in AZ has a wall arrangement of about a dozen various crosses, and they are all beautiful. I made the mistake of selecting a handpainted pottery cross, and it was the only thing that broke on the trip back home. I superglued it, but it shows the crack. Still, I will hang it up and remember that even broken crosses are beautiful.
That photograph is absolutely stunning. It caught my eye immediately. There is something about it that hits “the spot” and fills you up. It’s satisfying.
I love the quote too, forgiveness encourages the continueous movement forward through life, with a sense of freedom… i like!
Oh! It looks like it was hand-made. Did you make it yourself, Molly?
great quote, and photo… that looks like a really interesting cross…
Love the detail on the cross. How are things going for you lately? Seems like forever since I was last able to pop round and enjoy. DOn’t worry – I always look over all the pics when I make it back here.
Take care!

Through you, with you and within! Simple things but so complex!
