  • Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway to life. This is not an easy struggle. Indeed, it may be the most difficult task in the world, for opening the door to your own life is, in the end, more difficult than opening the doors to the mysteries of the universe. Daisaku Ikeda

  • Nice close-up shot. Your quote reminds me of another quote… perhaps I have mentioned it before… but i like it so much i’ve got to post again : The longest journey is the journey inward (Dag Hammarskjöld).

  • And there’s a quote that I can relate to and believe in.

Wow, I just had to stare at that doorknob for a bit.  It seems very representative of how I feel now, or where I am at.  I am at a door, maybe several, and I wonder what’s behind them …

    Take care!

  • I’m in a weird space today and this one made me cry. For the obvious TRUTH in it. This is something I want/need to do this month, but not an easy task for me, even though I know there are good things on the other side of that door.

  • Why does this doorknob remind me of something mom said once upon a time about your/my grin … hehe

  • Wonderful textures! @-}-}–

  • Fascinating, the door knob looks like often feel. Well worn.

  • i saw you latest in the vox (saucyvox). very cool.

  • There’s something about that door that is very welcoming. I would be at home going there.

  • Looks like the door has weathered many a storm just like me.

  • I have another question for you, much like how I asked you before what digital camera you use.. :)

How do you produce something on a daily basis like this? Do you go out and take a hundred beautiful pictures and then sit around for the next few weeks throwing up one at a time? Or is it really a search for one picture at a time, each and every day? And the quote? My goodness… it’s a lot of work to always have cool pictures online every day, like a photo-of-the-day or something.

I try to take pictures as often as possible but I find I just don’t have interesting enough photos to ever sustain something like what you do–nevermind the quotes!

So my real question is.. what’s it like to produce something like this on a daily basis and how do you do it?

  • I had absolutely no idea how much I’ve missed seeing your photos while I’ve been sick. You do wondrous things with light, shadow and the ordinary. Makes me want to go back to photography class…

  • boy is that the truth!
i love the lighting and detail in this photo!

  • Jeeze, they his the nail on the head with that quote.  Love that picture too.  Did you take that one too?

  • Yes, opening the door to your own life is difficult. The most difficult task in life. And once that door is opened the mysteries of the universe are more easily available. At least that’s what I’m hoping to find.

BTW, your comment made more sense than most. *smile*

  • you photos are stunning. well done!

  • Sort of like opening the door to your soul.  Difficult, but worthwhile.

  • …you’re doing a wonderful job in expressing your creativity. Only one engaged in the struggle gives it rocognition. Hopefully, your door isn’t to heavy. Hugs, MuSe

  • awesome combination of image and words
