  • Tremclad will fix that! — Lise

  • Looks like the way my car’s going to look at the end of this winter…

  • Great shot and quote! :)

  • Uhmmm,
… iron rusts from disuse just like inaction spoils the intellect.

  • Did you take this photo in ~old~ Montreal?

  • I feel rusty like this photo!  @-}-}–

  • No.  We rust from lack of RESPONDING to challenge.   Stagnation is not a pretty sight.   But somehow I find rust a sign of age that has taken on another persona.

Leave some thing metal out at the salty coast and see what happens.    A delicious transformation , but also a ruination.

  • Love the quote. Does that mean I am going to rust out soon?

  • If ever you get the chance, please do let me know what digital camera you use..

I’m in China (but I’m from Canada) and I dropped my camera while on the great wall.. broke the LCD but then took it in for repair and now the power circuity is messed up. Back for another repair, probably. But anyways, them’s the breaks. It wasn’t so much that I broke my camera, but I also broke my ability to collect images of my life in progress.. and it was like losing my ability to capture these wonderful experiences I’m having out here.

Anyways, please do, if you ever have the chance, let us know what camera you use, just.. for our information. :)

  • And of course, beautiful picture. They’re always beautiful.

  • Nice pic. I like rust and aged patinas on metals, but not on my car

  • Hey Molly that’s a great combination of photo and quote. I love oxidation as you know … the color combinations are endless. Speaking of rusting out due to overuse… now that’s an interesting concept… I’m working on a school paper on burnout (it’s got something to do with overuse!). Now only if I can translate that quote into Swedish… sigh. Thanks for sharing.

  • wonderful composition and such rich colours!!! rust is one of my favourite things to photograph!

  • great photo and great quote.

no rust, no need for rustoleum

Thanks for stopping by my site.

  • hoooo BOY, lack-of-challenge rust… do I ever hear THAT creaking…  :

  • …Airchild and I on same thought pattern. I too, thought of “burn-out” in conjunction with wearing out. Seems to be a lot of “burn-out” these days. MuSe

  • May we never get rusty! I appreciate this quote after my weekend. I have been off lubricating my life.
