mmm…i love this photo!!! it’s so rich with all that decay!!! some things just get better with age!
That quote can definitely be applied to my MOM!
I’m with vcrimson ~ funny how rust is seen as decay yet it’s so beautiful and rich with colour.. the simple power of oxidisation. Air did that! Beautiful photo!!

I love it! Kick ass! And the quote is true. I feel more beautiful now than I did at fifteen, when I was skinny and everyone told me I should be a model. The older I get the more I grow into who I truly am with all the layers shed. Thank you for sharing this one.
And some people have beautiful hearts right from the very beginning!
how appropriate of a quote for such a great image! I love old buildings.
I read the quote and I thought surely when the photo came up it would show Mema’s wrinkled contenance. She has that sort of faraway look in her eyes most all the time. I like to think she’s dreaming of when she was a girl, married to Pepa and had babies crawling around on the kitchen floor while she cooked. Think of all she’s seen in her 91 years….
The weathered wall you show has it’s own beauty to be sure. Time and the elements have done their best to make it ugly and have instead only made it more beautiful.

That quote is so very true! And the image is mesmerizing!
Particularly like that quote. I have about as much rust as the picture.
Xanga stil isn’t letting me know you updated, or anyone else for that matter.
If you ever decide to put photo’s up at Ofoto or like site let me know will you?
