  • This was taken while I was walking some of the many miles of underground mall/shopping areas in downtown Montreal yesterday. There is said to be 18 miles of underground shopping here. It is a large stained glass sculpture. I went and saw The Hours also…took 4 long escalators to get to the theatre! Superb movie btw!

  • That sculpture reminds me of me these days

  • Red Hot On Fire and All Over The Place!

  • Makes sense that Canada would have some underground malls.  I’d like to see The Hours too.

  • Oooh!  I like that sculpture.

I shopped in Montreal many years ago – would like to do it again sometime!

  • Your bio says you like wine tasting. What is your favorite, and how did you become interested in wines? – I am a wine lover as well, and four months in Rome turned my palate toward dry reds, merlot being my favorite. FD

  • mmm…dry red wine. mmm…nice picture.

  • I love that sculpture.  Thanks for the recommendation on The Hours… I’m hoping to see it soon!

  • Reminds me of seeing the giant Calder mobiles inthe National Gallery East Wing. Yum!!

  • …fantastic mobil, fantastic photo!!! Glad to see windows in the “underground” mall.
…wanting to see The Hours, pleased you had a good review. Watched Meryl Streep on Inside Actor’s Studio. She talked a little about the movie and said it was one of her better films.
…no, I hadn’t heard of Badger. One giant ice rink, I suppose. MuSe

  • PS…love the colour red in the mobile, especially since light filters through. As you probably know, the colour red is infinite on spectrum, which leaves the scientists scratching their heads. M

  • Interesting sculpture!

I’d like to see the hours.

  • Nice photo. Reminds me of those transporation rings used by the bad guys in the Stargate TV series.

  • Loved that mobile! Don’t know why the picture did not load in my mail box. None from xanga did this time.

  • Montreal seems like a great place to go.  My husband was there when he was a teen, but I’ve never been.

That is a beautiful sculpture and a nice photo of it.

  • Nice photo. Amazing thing about the underground thing. What a clever way to cope with the freezing temperatures.

  • Ooooh I loved that underground shopping network in Montreal!!  It took us three days to figure out how the hell to get into it, and we could’ve stayed indefinitely!!!
