I bought some Leo Tolstoy books but like everything else, I haven’t got around to reading it yet!

Btw, acrylics are fairly cheap and depending on your style (whether you use thick impasto techniques or thin watery washes), they have the potential to last a little while. Why not start with an extremely limited palette? The primary colours + white would give you pretty much everything you need, and you only need a brush or two.

Haven’t commented lately, because I’ve been really overloaded. However, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your photos. What a beauty this one is. It’s amazing how vibrant the verdigris looks agains the glowering sky!
