  • Love the picture!  It reminded me of the Dire Straits song “Lions”.

  • …marvelous pic, Molly, and not to be overlooked, your talent for perfect quote. MuSe

  • PS…perfect allegory, also, The Lion of Winter, how appropriate the snow. MuSe

  • what a wonderful quote!  I’m going to have to add it to my compendium.

  • Wow, that’s a really nice pic!  And again, good quote, too.

  • First of all, a much overdue thank you for subbing! I hope I can do half as good a photographic job as you and Ms. Vcrimson do. You guys amaze me.

    Where is this statue located?

Take care and I am glad you accept weirdos at your site

  • A perfect quote for today’s warmongers out there!

  • I bought some Leo Tolstoy books but like everything else, I haven’t got around to reading it yet!

    Where does this lion live?

Btw, acrylics are fairly cheap and depending on your style (whether you use thick impasto techniques or thin watery washes), they have the potential to last a little while. Why not start with an extremely limited palette? The primary colours + white would give you pretty much everything you need, and you only need a brush or two.

  • First time I’ve ever seen a green lion.

  • Haven’t commented lately, because I’ve been really overloaded. However, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your photos. What a beauty this one is. It’s amazing how vibrant the verdigris looks agains the glowering sky!

  • You’ve been mentioned in issue 14 of Randomized.

  • I like lions.

  • “I am more afraid of
an army of one hundred sheep led by a lion
than an army of one hundred lions led by a sheep.”
    – Charles Maurice, Prince de Talleyrand-PĂ©rigord

    “Until lions have their historians,
tales of the hunt shall always glorify the hunters.”
    – African Proverb

  • Molly I’d love to know where you find your quotes. And perhaps your lions.
