Sure would like to be sitting under that right now… with the sun shining through! Great picture! It’s all in the ‘jeans’ as they say!
Wow! Aswesome! I love it!
beautiful! now what was the other picture?
Wow – I wish my family had some kind of photographic talent. I was the family photographer for my entier family which meant there are no photos of me growing up.
Oh well – I’m not much to look at anyway.
WoW!
Or… the coconut apparently doesn’t fall to far from the palm!
Great photo! Yes – your mom is talented. I love this – green is one of my favorite colors and the lighting in this is wonderful.
Wow, now I know where you get your special “eye” genes from
At first I thought you had taken a trip to somewhere in the South. Just looking at the green and the sun rays makes me literally melt
LOL! I get my shutterbuggedness from my mom, too. And, being in Houston, I’m sure she’s taken plenty of pictures of sago palms herself.
Aw gee thanks. Believe me, I know nothing about photography and I certainly don’t have the ‘eye’ Molly has. I just snap away and hope for the best. It’s sort of like the way I write.
This fan palm is in our front flower bed and is growing like the proverbial weed. So much so that it may have to be moved to a roomier place.
Oh! You know what? It makes you feel instantly cooled, as if you’ve been in the summer heat and found shade beneath that palm frond. It’s a lovely picture.
…it is indeed a lovely picture. I agree with chastityrose’s reaction – it stimulates a soothing reprieve. Love the lighting.

I love the play of light and shadow in the hot sun.
I loved the palms at the Ewing Halsell display in San Antonio. Took several pictures and that was before I got a digital.
