Good lord, this is amazing. All my life I’ve read in books about wine, people loving wine, the comparisons of wine to a lover’s lips, and on and on and on. I like it well enough (some much better than others) but until this moment I have NEVER looked at wine and thought “I want this NOW.”
It’s not the just flowing liquid – it’s the stains on the press and that roque splash of red spilling off the back - it’s all impossibly sensual and messy. Wine indeed!
And no, I have not yet seen this bird head, but I’d like to – where please?
It’s nice to hear we can be co-conspirators in the whole emotional absurdity that is love. It’s not like I’ve never been smitten with anyone before, and yet it never ceases to surprise me how that feeling takes over. It’s amazine, surely, but also totally bizarre. heh. I’m really happy for you. For both of us, I think!
