Handsome fellow! Somehow I see them all as male. They look so, well, male!! Do you see them a lot at home? They used to be very plentiful around here when I was a kid, but I don’t see them anymore. Of course, I don’t go tromping through empty lots and brambles anymore either. ha ha

i had this one and another one that hung around the front yard for a couple of weeks, but now they’re gone. i also saw this large albino looking one a few weeks ago, but didn’t get a shot of him. always some new bug or plant around our place!
Ooooh, what a detailed shot. Very cool.
I usually have 5 or 6 of these guys show up every summer….this year they’ve been a no-show. I blame the weather.
