The first two words that come to my mind is “fresh and clean”. I suppose I am thinking about the air mostly. I do believe you live in a really healthy environment.
I’m trying to figure out if those are little dandelions or plantain, or a similar plant native to your area. I always love green things growing among the snow.

Vitality indeed. As I recall there’s an old Swedish saying from Wisconsin farm country that goes something like this: April snow is better than sheep shit.

According to Nancy’s expert on soil, there is more microbial activity going on in the soil under the snow than there is during the summer! (This is good.)
