Update: My Mom and Dad are back home safely! Be sure and welcome Mom back if you haven’t already – Ava South. I will be going home in a couple of weeks to help clean up. Luckily, the house did well and there’s just debris to clean up.

I don’t know yet about Barbarann’s house. supposedly they got to go yesterday to check on it…word is the house made it but everything under it is gone…garage, elevator shaft, stairs etc. i wonder how they’ll get inside!??

I hope Esther’s is back in business for your visit. And how can you not know what BBQ’d crabs are, James? You need a visit to Southeast Texas. But first, give us time to rebuild a few places. LOL
As for my sister’s beach house. They have a lot of work ahead of them, but they are determined to stay there.

the first time i had BBQ’d crabs was at Sartin’s i think…and there was another place…that i went as a teen…picnic tables, rolls of paper towels and all you could eat platter service. aah, those were days…of HEART ATTACKS WAITING TO HAPPEN! i think i just gained weight thinking about i all LOL!
what a shame,, I hope they’re back on their feet quickly.
