    Inseparable Unity
    ryc: Am I morbid?

John Muir said that we should “Let children walk with Nature, let them see the beautiful blendings and communions of death and life, their joyous inseparable unity, as taught in woods and meadows, plains and mountains and streams of our blessed star, and they will learn that death is stingless indeed, and as beautiful as life…”

    Artist’s Statement
ryc is ‘blog-speak’ for ‘regarding your comment.’
Throughout the web-log journal/photojournal community, readers/spectators are invited to respond or react to what they read and see by way of a ‘comment.’ Replies are generally prefaced with: ryc:

I have maintained a web log for the past 5 years, posting photographs, often accompanied by a literary quote to further evoke what I saw when I took the photo.

My intention for the Nature of Inquiry show is to weave the comments or ‘inquiries’ my work generates into subsequent blog posts, responding through both photographs and written replies ‘regarding the comments’ the work elicits.

    I invite your comments:
