I love seeing the deer, but it breaks my heart also because I know that around here anyway, the lack of apex predators means too many deer. Deer which are now very hungry and coming way too close to people.
i feel like i’ve been given a gift when i see white tailed deer. ds
Ah, but the beasts would do fine without man! Chief Vex
The red on the tree is amazing! Blessings abound
yeah, props to whoever decided to candy-coat that tree like that! ;P i like the composition…and chief seattle certainly seems to be on the mark, too…
Narure at it’s best, a mix of colors and wonderful details. I love the red of the manzanita and the questioning look on the face of the deer. Was she up and away right after you snapped the photo, or was this done with a long lens?
Love, Mom
Your blog has a very nice grounding effect that pulls me from wherever I may have drifted off to, and puts me back where I should belong. Thanks.
You are way, way too kind for me.
(I’ll be right there.)
thank you.
Desn’t it bother you that you’ve been mooned by a deer?
And the deer said, “Now what ?”
Great picture Milady . . . .
no spider webs… just snow.
perhaps its me but the tree is almost a reflection of the deers bum but upside down.
