A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest–a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Albert Einstein

  • And boy does this seem hard to do.

  • Thank you for stopping by. I would like to learn more about graphic design…i have a smittering of experience in that realm but my heart is really with my art. I looked at the first few images of dahlia and palm leaf…if those are yours, then give yourself a lot of credit. Really nice.
Re Photoshop..I think the time comes you just have to decide what you want to do with it and forget about everything else it can do.

  • ahhhhhh…looking further…you are selling your work and that is wonderful…don’t shrug it off…i am a great believer in following your heart’s desire…what kind of printer do you use?

  • Beautiful – honest.  And clearly true..

  • I call it a non-fat quiz. Might not be anything at all.
Inspiring others is a wonderful thing. We all can use some inspiration now and again.
    Thank you for the comment.

  • yes!  this is fantastic.  thanks, april

  • Tall order from ol’ Albert.    But I do love the photo.   such a clear pink/rose color.   It’s a dahlia, isn’t it?   We don’t see many of those here.   Not the right climate, I suppose.    Where did you find it?

  • Problemes are illusions. I agree. They lots of things.
    Opportunity
    Lessons
Fun, just because they are there
    Challenges

    I could add more.

    Preception is everything.
    Have a great day!

  • wow, how true that albert einstein was.

  • Ooh, quoting one of my great loves…Albert my Baby! Hmm, Hmm. Hmm! And what a beautiful photo.

  • I’m glad you took time while shopping that day. All too often, we don’t give ourselves a break and rush around too fast. It’s important to slow down in all things once in a while no matter how mundane. Life unfolds at its own pace, not the speed we think we control.

  • RYC: they come by it naturally…music of all kinds always fills our home…I think I was as much or more excited about this trip for My L as she was…I hope it will be a memory she will always treasure.

  • your profile pic is just glowing..like you’re in love or better!  great image and quote pairing…sometimes I forget the muse Einstein had in his thoughts…

  • Don’t just wipe your feet.  Shoes off, girlfriend!

  • Your photographs and quotes are beautiful and inspirational.  Lovely work.  I like the simplicity, yet they have substance.  I recently read a book called “Einstein’s Wife” and was sad to hear that apparently he was a terrible husband and father.  Not good in people relationships in general.  Much wisdom in theory, not so much in practice.  Ah well, common problem I know!  He had a son in a mental hospital, and didn’t have any contact with him for 30 years.  Must have been tough.
