It is peopled with characters you have never seen before and in all probability will never see again. It brings occasional homesickness, and loneliness, and pangs of longing… But you are like the Vikings who have gone into a world of adventure, and home is not home until you return. Agatha Christie

  • There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is

    but Nature more.
    Lord Byron

  • This is where I went yesterday…the quiet tidepools of Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro. I was laying down to take this photo and had to be careful not to get washed away. This is the first photo of many that I took, so if you’re in the mood for sea and sand, stay tuned And Mom? Wish you could have been there

    the course of hours.

  • People who don’t Think probably don’t have Brains; rather, they have grey fluff that’s
    blown into their heads by mistake.

    Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it;
    the tree is the real thing.
    Abraham Lincoln

  • Another dog of a friend. This one’s name is Pikea and tried like heck to “sit” on the furniture

    If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one.
