My writing is like a ten gallon spring. It can issue from the ground anywhere at all. On smooth ground it rushes swiftly on and covers a thouasand li in a single day without difficulty. When it twists and turns among mountains and rocks, it fits its form to things it meets: unknowable. What can be known is, it always goes where it must go, always stops where it cannot help stopping — nothing else. More than that, even I cannot know. Su Shih

Nice picture, nice quote – but I want to know what s/he did to have raw fish rolls named after him/her.
Well, that about covers it doesn’t it? I was in Long Beach yesterday. It was hot!
That’s the way I write, like water gushing out of the ground. Until it runs dry and then I can’t think of a thing to put down.
That’s the way it is flood of ideas or someone dams the whole thing up! @-}-}–
It’s not how I write, but it’s how I think!
I am always uplifted by Your message, thank YOU.

and it traverses not only land, sea and sky but the universe at the speed of light….ha ha, how cosmic…
I love that quote. I think about flow and direction all the time. My partner says I’m quite grounded (compared to her anyway ha ha) but my mind is no where near sea level. It flows in many directions, sometimes with power and determination, other times a gentle rhythmic stream
I have 2 reactions – that is a very good way to live life and that is a very bad way to live life. Go figure!
