  • Ice on a Wire

…for those of you not so familiar with my site, this is sequel to Rain on a Wire.

    - don’t know why this one isn’t as clear as Rain on a Wire…if you click on it and view it larger you get it much clearer

  • Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, and life to everything. Plato

Currently listening to: classical music on Vermont Public Radio

  • Today I bring to you: The Squirrel Chronicles
(possibly to be continued in another journal entry)

Why do they excite me so?
    Small creatures with eyes aglow.
    Chortling, peaking around the tree-
What is it they have to say to me?

I watch and say to them outloud-
“Come here little fellow and take from me,
    my outstretched hand, it’s family.”

A careful gleam and she’s shot away-
    Guess I’ll try again-
    another day.

  • This was taken a couple of weeks ago after it had snowed all day. The sunset only lasted for mere minutes, but it was spectacular!

  • Roger in one of her favorite look-out spots!

  • Vermont Steeple, November Night

Currently listening to: Enya, Shepherd Moons

  • Language… has created the word “loneliness” to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word “solitude” to express the glory of being alone. Paul Johannes Tillich, The Eternal Now

  • Wisdom doesn’t automatically come with old age. Nothing does – except wrinkles. It’s true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place. Abigail Van Buren

  • Anybody need a recipe for okra go to Lise’s Cajun Okra, I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds delicious! Aah-yee!

Here’s Dad pickin it at home! (Port Arthur, Texas)

  • Another autumn photo, also taken at Mount Royal like the previous one posted. Doesn’t look much like this anymore as it is snowing presently!

Just back from a jaunt in Vermont which was beautiful this time of year also!
